  There was only one small quibble we had with the hotel & that concerned the operation of "Happy Hour' in the bar. This seemed only to apply to certain drinks & there was no clear indication as to which ones these were. The times of Happy Hour also seemed uncertain as one day we were told it was from 1-00pm until 2.00pm & the next day that we had missed it as it was from 12noon until 1.00pm. Perhaps it would be beneficial for guests to have a printed notice of times & included drinks.

  I booked this hotel due to the reviews i saw on the web. I was not disappointed, it was very clean, spotless in fact, we had a direct sea view room. The view was amazing from the room, now in all honestly the room was a little tired, but with the view and the 2 sun loungers on the balcony we would not have asked for more. it was about a 10-15 min walk into town. The town is dead very quite place, if you want life fo to Nerja. This was perfect for relaxing, the hotel food i have to say was top notch, we ate one night in the hotel and the food was fantastic 12 euros.. seriously could not ask for better. The hotel was full of lets say more mature people but that did not hamper us - i would defiantly go back.

  It looks like a big hotel but a WONDERFULL STAFF, from reception, bar, kitchen, restaurant, makes you unique, confortable and give you a very nice stay.

  A truly special experience! Very friendly and helpful staff, especially in the dining room, Diana was a delight to see each day. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Would not hesitate to recommend for a da y a weekend or weeks stay.

  Our stay at Hotel Helios during Christmas week was a most enjoyable experience.We were given a spacious bedroom on the 6th floor with a balcony which benefitted from the sun from early morning until after 4-00pm.

  We enjoyed our stay in the Junior Suite which was comfortable and well-maintained. However we felt the hotel was lacking in facilities, for example a gym, indoor swimming pool and general entertainment. Also would have preferred an alternative to the buffet-bar i.e. another restaurant with waiter service. The restaurant was always extremely busy and noisy and seemed to be catering primarily for Saga guests with reservations on many of the tables, giving us little option of where we could sit. A lovely hotel, friendly, efficient staff (particularly Sapa on the fish bar and Raquel), superb position but lacking in smaller, more cosy dining and bar experience. Also no english-language TV channels.
